Private health insurance
What is private health insurance?
Private health insurance is coverage you buy directly, outside the ACA marketplace. Private plans usually ask health questions and often reward good health with better coverage at a better rate.
Is private health insurance worth it if I'm healthy?
For many healthy people, yes. Private plans can offer lower rates, nationwide PPO networks and zero-deductible options. Emily's team compares plans so you can see if it's a fit for you.
How much does private health insurance cost in Florida?
It depends on your age, ZIP code, household and health, and on the plan you choose. Emily's team gives you real quotes for free, usually in one short call or text.
What is a PPO plan?
A PPO (preferred provider organization) plan lets you see doctors and specialists in a broad network without a referral. Many private PPO plans include nationwide networks.
What does a zero-deductible plan mean?
A zero-deductible plan starts sharing costs right away instead of waiting until you pay a deductible first. Zero-deductible plans are available, and Emily's team shows how they compare on price.
Do private plans cover prescriptions?

Can I keep my doctor?
Often, yes. Tell Emily's team which doctors and hospitals you use, and they check each plan's network before you apply.
Are private plans the same as Obamacare plans?
No. Private plans are sold outside the ACA marketplace and work differently. They usually ask health questions, may limit pre-existing conditions and may not cover every ACA benefit. Emily's team explains what each plan covers.
Will I have to answer health questions?
Usually, yes. Private plans typically ask about your health. Emily's team walks you through the questions before you apply.
